THE STORY OF THE PROPHET JESUS - Prophet Jesus was Raised to Heaven and the Crucifixion of the Man Who Is Like the Messiah

Prophet Jesus always helped people who were needy, poor, and miserable. Prophet Jesus also taught this to others. Thus, Prophet Jesus not only spoke, but also did good deeds to be imitated by others. Prophet Jesus guided people to the right path and gave good news about the arrival of the last Prophet, Ahmad (Prophet Muhammad). Prophet Jesus also recited the contents of the Torah correctly to his followers and those he read were the words of Allah SWT to the Prophet Moses.

Because of the preaching of Prophet Jesus, the Jewish fortune-tellers felt revenge on the Messiah and incited the people to kill him. They slandered Prophet Jesus as a sorcerer and deviated from the teachings of Prophet Moses.

One day, Prophet Jesus and his disciples were in a place of worship. Suddenly some Jews invaded to kill Prophet Jesus. So, Fontius Filatos, the Governor of Palestine, ordered his guards to arrest Jesus in order to protect him from the crimes of the Jews and to know the teachings brought by Prophet Jesus.

Prophet Jesus was taken to the palace, the Jews also followed him. Filatos asked the Jews about the reason they hated Prophet Jesus. They said that Prophet Jesus had broken and did not believe.

After that, Filatos asked Prophet Jesus, "Is it true that you incited people to fight my government?"

Prophet Jesus answered, "No!" Prophet Jesus explained that what he did was to invite people to believe and only worship Allah Almighty, the Creator of this universe. He also invited to treat others well.

Filatos understood the views of Greek philosophers and understood that the teachings of Prophet Jesus did not endanger the Roman Empire. Then Prophet Jesus may leave the palace.

However, the Jews increasingly slandered Prophet Jesus and spread rumors that Prophet Jesus had influenced Filatos to betray the Emperor. That was not enough for the Jews. So they sent a letter to the Roman Emperor to bring Filatos (Philathos) down from the office of governor. The Emperor was worried that the Jews would overthrow his power, so he allowed them to do what they wanted against Prophet Jesus.

The Jewish monks held a large meeting. They discussed how to capture Prophet Jesus. They ordered spies to various places to look for Prophet Jesus, but they still could not find him. They think that Prophet Jesus must be hiding somewhere. They assume that Prophet Jesus was really a serious threat to their position. So they give the lure of gifts for anyone who can capture or provide information about the existence of Prophet Jesus. Meanwhile, the Roman government also sent soldiers to arrest Prophet Jesus.

It turned out that Prophet Jesus and his followers always moved from one place to another. According to one story, one night, Prophet Jesus and his followers hid in a park. They are eating their dinner. Then, Prophet Jesus taught about humility to his followers and he washed their hands. Prophet Jesus felt a betrayal and said, "I want to tell you that this shepherd will leave, and the sheep will stay, and one of you will break me before the cock crows three times."

According to a history, the student of Prophet Jesus who betrayed was Yahuda Al Askharyuti (Judas Iscariot). On a cold night, Prophet Jesus and his students slept, except Judas who left the park. Judas went to a temple and gave information about Prophet Jesus to the Jewish monks there. Judas immediately received his prize.

So the Jewish monks ordered the Roman soldiers to accompany Judas and they immediately headed to the place of Prophet Jesus. Judas did not want anyone to know him, so he covered his face. Judas showed the way and the Roman soldiers followed him. The soldiers entered the park with a noise and the disciples of Prophet Jesus awoke. As a punishment, Judas's face changed to resemble that of the Prophet Jesus. Allah SWT raised Prophet Jesus to heaven so that he survived the evil conspiracy of the Jews.

Roman soldiers could not find the real Prophet Jesus. They did not recognize him because he had never seen him before. In the chaos, they actually see the face of Judas who is seen to have the characteristics of Prophet Jesus. So they immediately caught him.

The Jews could not wait to kill the alleged person was Prophet Jesus. So they ordered the Roman soldiers to crucify the real people was Judas on the hill of Al Jaljala. That was done. The Jews thought that Prophet Jesus had died. But actually they were not sure that they had killed Prophet Jesus, moreover there were rumors that Prophet Jesus would come back which might be spread by poor people who love him. Because of the worry about this, the Jews spread rumors that they had crucified Prophet Jesus.Prophet Jesus will return to earth on the promised day to support Imam Mahdi. Truth will defeat evil.

Surah Ali Imran verses 54-55:

وَمَكَرُواْ وَمَكَرَ ٱللَّهُۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡمَٰكِرِينَ  ٥٤ إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوۡقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ فِيمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ  ٥٥

54.  And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.

55.  [Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

Surah An Nisa verses 155-159:

فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِم بِ‍َٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢۚ بَلۡ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا  ١٥٥ وَبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ عَلَىٰ مَرۡيَمَ بُهۡتَٰنًا عَظِيمٗا  ١٥٦ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ إِنَّا قَتَلۡنَا ٱلۡمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّنۡهُۚ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ إِلَّا ٱتِّبَاعَ ٱلظَّنِّۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينَۢا  ١٥٧ بَل رَّفَعَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيۡهِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمٗا  ١٥٨ وَإِن مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا لَيُؤۡمِنَنَّ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ مَوۡتِهِۦۖ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ شَهِيدٗا  ١٥٩

155.  And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

156.  And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,

157.  And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.

158.  Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.

159.  And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.

KISAH NABI ISA AS. - Pengangkatan Nabi Isa ke Langit dan Penyaliban Orang yang Diserupakan dengan Al Masih

Nabi Isa selalu menolong orang-orang yang fakir,  miskin, dan sengsara. Nabi Isa juga mengajarkan hal tersebut kepada orang lain. Dengan demikian, Nabi Isa tidak hanya sekadar berbicara, tetapi juga melakukan kebajikan agar ditiru oleh orang lain. Nabi Isa menuntun orang-orang untuk menuju ke jalan yang benar dan memberi kabar gembira tentang kedatangan Nabi terakhir, yaitu Ahmad (Nabi Muhammad). Nabi Isa juga membacakan isi Taurat yang benar kepada para pengikutnya dan yang beliau baca adalah firman Allah SWT kepada Nabi Musa.

Karena dakwah Nabi Isa, para peramal Yahudi merasa dendam pada Al Masih dan menghasut orang-orang untuk membunuhnya. Mereka memfitnah Nabi Isa sebagai tukang sihir dan telah menyimpang dari ajaran Nabi Musa.

Suatu hari, Nabi Isa dan para muridnya sedang berada di dalam tempat ibadah. Tiba-tiba beberapa orang Yahudi menyerbu untuk membunuh Nabi Isa. Maka, Fontius Filatos, Gubernur Palestina, memerintahkan para pengawalnya untuk menangkap Isa demi melindunginya dari kejahatan kaum Yahudi dan untuk mengetahui ajaran-ajaran yang dibawa Nabi Isa.

Nabi Isa dibawa menuju istana, orang-orang Yahudi pun juga mengikuti beliau. Filatos menanyakan kepada orang-orang Yahudi tentang alasan mereka membenci Nabi Isa. Mereka mengatakan bahwa Nabi Isa telah ingkar dan tidak beriman.

Setelah itu, Filatos bertanya kepada Nabi Isa, “Apakah benar bahwa engkau menghasut orang-orang untuk melawan pemerintahanku?”

Nabi Isa menjawab, “Tidak!”. Nabi Isa menjelaskan bahwa yang dilakukan beliau adalah mengajak orang-orang untuk beriman dan hanya menyembah Allah SWT Yang Maha Esa, Pencipta alam semesta ini. Beliau juga mengajak untuk memperlakukan orang lain dengan baik.

Filatos telah memahami pandangan-pandangan para filsuf Yunani dan paham bahwa ajaran Nabi Isa tidak membahayakan Imperium Romawi. Maka Nabi Isa boleh keluar dari istana.

Namun, Kaum Yahudi semakin menfitnah Nabi Isa dan menyebarkan desas-desus bahwa Nabi Isa telah memengaruhi Filatos untuk mengkhianati Kaisar. Hal itu belum cukup bagi kaum Yahudi. Maka mereka mengirim surat kepada Kaisar Romawi untuk menurunkan Filatos dari jabatan gubernur. Kaisar khawatir jika kaum Yahudi akan menggulingkan kekuasaannya, sehingga dia membolehkan mereka untuk melakukan apa yang mereka inginkan terhadap Nabi Isa.

Para rahib Yahudi mengadakan suatu pertemuan besar. Mereka membahas tentang cara untuk menangkap Nabi Isa. Mereka memerintahkan para mata-mata ke berbagai tempat untuk mencari Nabi Isa, namun mereka tetap tidak bisa menemukannya. Mereka berpikir bahwa Nabi Isa pasti bersembunyi di suatu tempat. Mereka menganggap bahwa Nabi Isa benar-benar ancaman serius bagi kedudukan mereka. Maka mereka memberikan iming-iming berupa hadiah bagi siapa saja yang dapat menangkap atau memberikan informasi tentang keberadaan Nabi Isa. Sementara itu, pemerintah Romawi juga mengirim para prajurit untuk menangkap Nabi Isa.

Ternyata Nabi Isa dan para pengikutnya selalu berpindah-pindah dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain. Menurut suatu kisah, pada suatu malam, Nabi Isa dan para pengikutnya bersembunyi di suatu taman. Mereka sedang menyantap makan malam mereka. Lalu, Nabi Isa mengajarkan tentang kerendahan hati kepada para pengikutnya dan beliau pun mencuci tangan mereka. Nabi Isa merasakan adanya pengkhianatan dan berkata, “Aku ingin mengatakan pada kalian bahwa penggembala ini akan pergi, dan domba-domba akan tetap tinggal, dan salah satu dari kalian akan ingkar padaku sebelum ayam jantan berkokok tiga kali.”

Menurut suatu riwayat, murid Nabi Isa yang berkhianat adalah Yahuda Al Askharyuti (Yudas Iskariot). Di malam yang dingin, Nabi Isa dan para muridnya tertidur, kecuali Yahuda yang keluar meninggalkan taman itu. Yahuda menuju ke suatu kuil dan memberikan informasi tentang Nabi Isa kepada para rahib Yahudi di situ. Yahuda segera menerima hadiahnya.

Maka para rahib Yahudi memerintahkan para prajurit Romawi untuk menemani Yahuda dan mereka pun segera menuju ke tempat Nabi Isa. Yahuda tidak ingin seorang pun mengetahuinya, maka dia menutupi wajahnya. Yahuda menunjukkan jalannya dan para prajurit Romawi mengikutinya. Para prajurit memasuki taman tersebut dengan suara gaduh dan para murid Nabi Isa terbangun. Sebagai hukumannya, wajah Yahuda pun berubah menyerupai wajah Nabi Isa. Allah SWT telah mengangkat Nabi Isa ke langit sehingga beliau selamat dari persekongkolan jahat kaum Yahudi.

Para prajurit Romawi tidak dapat menemukan Nabi Isa yang sebenarnya. Mereka tidak mengenali beliau karena memang tidak pernah melihat beliau sebelumnya. Dalam kekacauan, mereka justru melihat wajah Yahuda yang terlihat memiliki ciri-ciri Nabi Isa. Maka mereka segera menangkapnya.

Kaum Yahudi sudah tak sabar untuk membunuh orang yang diduga adalah Nabi Isa. Maka mereka memerintahkan para prajurit Romawi untuk menyalib orang yang sebenarnya adalah Yahuda di bukit Al Jaljala. Hal itu pun dilaksanakan. Orang-orang Yahudi mengira bahwa Nabi Isa telah meninggal. Namun sebenarnya mereka tidak yakin bahwa mereka telah membunuh Nabi Isa, terlebih lagi ada desas-desus bahwa Nabi Isa akan datang kembali yang mungkin disebarkan oleh orang-orang miskin yang mencintai beliau. Karena rasa khawatir tentang hal tersebut, orang-orang Yahudi menyebarkan rumor bahwa mereka telah menyalib Nabi Isa.

Nabi Isa akan kembali ke bumi pada hari yang telah dijanjikan untuk mendukung Imam Mahdi. Kebenaran akan mengalahkan kebatilan.

Surat Ali Imran ayat 54-55:

وَمَكَرُواْ وَمَكَرَ ٱللَّهُۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡمَٰكِرِينَ  ٥٤ إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَىٰٓ إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَجَاعِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوكَ فَوۡقَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَكُمۡ فِيمَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ  ٥٥

54.  Orang-orang kafir itu membuat tipu daya, dan Allah membalas tipu daya mereka itu. Dan Allah sebaik-baik pembalas tipu daya.

55.  (Ingatlah), ketika Allah berfirman: "Hai Isa, sesungguhnya Aku akan menyampaikan kamu kepada akhir ajalmu dan mengangkat kamu kepada-Ku serta membersihkan kamu dari orang-orang yang kafir, dan menjadikan orang-orang yang mengikuti kamu di atas orang-orang yang kafir hingga hari kiamat. Kemudian hanya kepada Akulah kembalimu, lalu Aku memutuskan diantaramu tentang hal-hal yang selalu kamu berselisih padanya".

Surat An Nisa’ ayat 155-159:

فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِم مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِم بِ‍َٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقّٖ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوبُنَا غُلۡفُۢۚ بَلۡ طَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا  ١٥٥ وَبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ عَلَىٰ مَرۡيَمَ بُهۡتَٰنًا عَظِيمٗا  ١٥٦ وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ إِنَّا قَتَلۡنَا ٱلۡمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ لَفِي شَكّٖ مِّنۡهُۚ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ إِلَّا ٱتِّبَاعَ ٱلظَّنِّۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينَۢا  ١٥٧ بَل رَّفَعَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيۡهِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمٗا  ١٥٨ وَإِن مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِلَّا لَيُؤۡمِنَنَّ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ مَوۡتِهِۦۖ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ شَهِيدٗا  ١٥٩

155.  Maka (Kami lakukan terhadap mereka beberapa tindakan), disebabkan mereka melanggar perjanjian itu, dan karena kekafiran mereka terhadap keterangan-keterangan Allah dan mereka membunuh nabi-nabi tanpa (alasan) yang benar dan mengatakan: "Hati kami tertutup". Bahkan, sebenarnya Allah telah mengunci mati hati mereka karena kekafirannya, karena itu mereka tidak beriman kecuali sebahagian kecil dari mereka.

156.  Dan karena kekafiran mereka (terhadap Isa) dan tuduhan mereka terhadap Maryam dengan kedustaan besar (zina),

157.  dan karena ucapan mereka: "Sesungguhnya kami telah membunuh Al Masih, Isa putra Maryam, Rasul Allah", padahal mereka tidak membunuhnya dan tidak (pula) menyalibnya, tetapi (yang mereka bunuh ialah) orang yang diserupakan dengan Isa bagi mereka. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang berselisih paham tentang (pembunuhan) Isa, benar-benar dalam keragu-raguan tentang yang dibunuh itu. Mereka tidak mempunyai keyakinan tentang siapa yang dibunuh itu, kecuali mengikuti persangkaan belaka, mereka tidak (pula) yakin bahwa yang mereka bunuh itu adalah Isa.

158.  Tetapi (yang sebenarnya), Allah telah mengangkat Isa kepada-Nya. Dan adalah Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.

159.  Tidak ada seorangpun dari Ahli Kitab, kecuali akan beriman kepadanya (Isa) sebelum kematiannya. Dan di hari kiamat nanti Isa itu akan menjadi saksi terhadap mereka.

THE STORY OF THE PROPHET JESUS - Various Extraordinary Miracles (Mukjizat) of Prophet Jesus

Allah SWT has strengthened Prophet Jesus with the Holy Spirit (Ruhul Qudus) since birth. According to some opinions, the Holy Spirit is the Angel Gabriel. The Holy Spirit always accompanied and defended Prophet Jesus in struggling to uphold the truth. Prophet Jesus preached to the Jews to want to go back to the right path according to the command of Allah SWT. To strengthen the proof of the truth of the teachings that brought by Prophet Jesus, Allah SWT gave miracles to him so that people would believe. The miracles (mukjizat) of Prophet Jesus are indeed extraordinary and are beyond human reason. The following are some of the miracles of Prophet Jesus as stated in several verses of the Qur'an.

Surah Al Maidah verse 110:

إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ ٱذۡكُرۡ نِعۡمَتِي عَلَيۡكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذۡ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلۡقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ وَكَهۡلٗاۖ وَإِذۡ عَلَّمۡتُكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَۖ وَإِذۡ تَخۡلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيۡ‍َٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ بِإِذۡنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَتُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَإِذۡ تُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَإِذۡ كَفَفۡتُ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذۡ جِئۡتَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ  ١١٠

110.  [The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."

The verse explains the five miracles of Prophet Jesus. First, Prophet Jesus was able to speak to people since he was in the cradle. He was created without a father. In his words, Jesus explained that he was the messenger of Allah SWT. The people who heard it were divided into two, some were believers and some were broken.

Secondly, Allah SWT has taught Prophet Jesus about the true Torah because the contents of the original Torah were changed by disbelieving Jews. Allah SWT also sent down the Gospel (Injil) to Prophet Jesus to justify the previous book, the Torah. According to history, the Gospel was revealed on the eighteenth night of Ramadan and at that time Prophet Jesus was thirty years old.

Third, Prophet Jesus was able to make birds from clay and can live by blowing the clay. Fourth, Prophet Jesus was able to heal people who were blind from birth and no one was able to treat it. Prophet Jesus was also able to heal people suffering from hairpiece (white streaks on the skin) which sometimes had to be amputated.

Fifth, Prophet Jesus was able to revive the dead. There are many stories about this miracle.

That said, the first time Prophet Jesus revive the dead was when he saw a woman crying near the grave of her  daughter. The daughter is only the only child of the that mother. The mother promised not to leave her daughter's grave except until she felt death or Allah SWT turned her child back on. So Prophet Jesus prayed two rak'ahs and called the girl's name three times. The body of the child rose from his grave and came back to life. Prophet Jesus asked why he had to call three times. The child said that during the first call, the angel arranged her body intact. During the second call, the spirit was blown back to her body. During the third call, she was afraid that the end of the day had arrived so that her hair turned gray. Then the child explains to his mother that her mother must be patient because the child has no business in the world anymore. The child begged Prophet Jesus to pray to Allah SWT to be died again. Then the child is dead again. The news reached the ears of the Jews. People who deny are more hate the Prophet Jesus.

It is said that Prophet Jesus also revived Sam bin Nuh through two rak'ah prayers. Sam bin Nuh had a story about Noah's ark before dying again. He also once revived the king from the Children of Israel who died. Prophet Jesus also had a friend named Azir. When Azir's mother told him that Azir had died, Prophet Jesus revived Azir the next day.

Surah Al Maidah verses 112-115:

إِذۡ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ هَلۡ يَسۡتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ  ١١٢ قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ  ١١٣ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلۡ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدٗا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةٗ مِّنكَۖ وَٱرۡزُقۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ  ١١٤ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بَعۡدُ مِنكُمۡ فَإِنِّيٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابٗا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ  ١١٥

112.  [And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah, if you should be believers."

113.  They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses."

114.  Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."

115.  Allah said, "Indeed, I will send it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds."

Sixth, Prophet Jesus begged Allah SWT to bring down dishes from heaven to Al Hawariyyin.

Surat Ali Imran verse 49:

وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّي قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِ‍َٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ أَنِّيٓ أَخۡلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيۡ‍َٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ وَأُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأۡكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ  ٤٩

49.  And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah. And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.

Seventh, Prophet Jesus was able to see hidden objects and other unseen things even though he did not see them directly. Abu Hudzaifah, Ishaq bin Bisyr has narrated with his own sanad from Ka'b Al Ahbar, Wahb bin Munabbih, Ibn Abbas and Salman Al Farisiy. Their hadiths complement each other. In essence, when Prophet Jesus preached to the Children of Israel, the hypocrites and the infidels tried to approach Prophet Jesus, "What was eaten by the Fulan last night and what he was saving?" Then Prophet Jesus told them with right.

The Prophet's miracle was in harmony with the conditions of his day. The scholars said, the miracle of Prophet Moses was in accordance with the conditions of the people who at that time admired magic and magicians. So Prophet Moses had miracles such as magic which actually contradicted magic and aimed at fighting magic.

Prophet Jesus was sent during the time of the emergence of physicians and wisdom experts. So Allah SWT gives miracles that cannot be matched. There are no physicians or wisdom experts who are able to cure blind people from birth, eliminate the disease of hairpiece, and even bring to life the dead.

At the time of Prophet Jesus, the people at his place were also materialistic and denied the spirit and resurrection day. According to them, humans are only bodies without spirits. They assume that blood is the "spirit" of man. Therefore, the miracles of Prophet Jesus tried to show the spiritual realm. Prophet Jesus was born without a father and his spirit was blown directly by the Creator. When making birds from clay so that they can live, Prophet Jesus blew objects that initially did not have that characteristic of life. Something that enters the object is not physical, but it is a spirit that has intrinsic value. He also has a miracle to bring to life those who have died. This shows the existence of spirit and resurrection day. People who die whose bodies have been destroyed inside the earth can come back to life and rise from their death with the permission of Allah SWT.

KISAH NABI ISA AS. - Berbagai Mukjizat Luar Biasa Nabi Isa

Allah SWT telah memperkuat Nabi Isa dengan Ruhul Kudus sejak lahir. Menurut beberapa pendapat, Ruhul Kudus adalah Malaikat Jibril. Ruhul Kudus selalu mendampingi dan membela Nabi Isa dalam berjuang menegakkan kebenaran. Nabi Isa berdakwah kepada kaum Yahudi agar mau kembali ke jalan yang benar sesuai perintah Allah SWT. Untuk memperkuat bukti kebenaran ajaran yang dibawa oleh Nabi Isa, Allah SWT memberikan mukjizat kepada beliau agar orang-orang mau beriman. Mukjizat Nabi Isa memang sungguh luar biasa dan berada di luar nalar manusia. Berikut ini adalah beberapa mukjizat Nabi Isa seperti yang tertera dalam beberapa ayat Al Qur’an.

Surat Al Maidah ayat 110:

إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ ٱذۡكُرۡ نِعۡمَتِي عَلَيۡكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذۡ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلۡقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ وَكَهۡلٗاۖ وَإِذۡ عَلَّمۡتُكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَۖ وَإِذۡ تَخۡلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيۡ‍َٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ بِإِذۡنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَتُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَإِذۡ تُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِيۖ وَإِذۡ كَفَفۡتُ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذۡ جِئۡتَهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرٞ مُّبِينٞ  ١١٠

110.  (Ingatlah), ketika Allah mengatakan: "Hai Isa putra Maryam, ingatlah nikmat-Ku kepadamu dan kepada ibumu di waktu Aku menguatkan kamu dengan ruhul qudus. Kamu dapat berbicara dengan manusia di waktu masih dalam buaian dan sesudah dewasa; dan (ingatlah) di waktu Aku mengajar kamu menulis, hikmah, Taurat dan Injil, dan (ingatlah pula) diwaktu kamu membentuk dari tanah (suatu bentuk) yang berupa burung dengan ijin-Ku, kemudian kamu meniup kepadanya, lalu bentuk itu menjadi burung (yang sebenarnya) dengan seizin-Ku. Dan (ingatlah) di waktu kamu menyembuhkan orang yang buta sejak dalam kandungan ibu dan orang yang berpenyakit sopak dengan seizin-Ku, dan (ingatlah) di waktu kamu mengeluarkan orang mati dari kubur (menjadi hidup) dengan seizin-Ku, dan (ingatlah) di waktu Aku menghalangi Bani Israil (dari keinginan mereka membunuh kamu) di kala kamu mengemukakan kepada mereka keterangan-keterangan yang nyata, lalu orang-orang kafir diantara mereka berkata: "Ini tidak lain melainkan sihir yang nyata".

Ayat tersebut menjelaskan lima mukjizat Nabi Isa. Pertama, Nabi Isa mampu berbicara kepada orang-orang sejak masih dalam buaian. Beliau tercipta tanpa seorang ayah. Dengan perkataannya itulah Isa menjelaskan bahwa dirinya adalah utusan Allah SWT.  Orang-orang yang mendengarnya terbagi menjadi dua, ada yang beriman dan ada yang ingkar.

Kedua, Allah SWT telah mengajarkan Nabi Isa tentang Taurat yang sebenarnya karena isi Taurat yang asli telah diubah dan direkayasa oleh orang-orang Yahudi yang ingkar. Allah SWT juga menurunkan kitab Injil kepada Nabi Isa untuk membenarkan kitab sebelumnya, yaitu Taurat. Menurut riwayat, Injil diturunkan di malam kedelapan belas bulan Ramadhan dan saat itu Nabi Isa berumur tiga puluh tahun.

Ketiga, Nabi Isa mampu membuat burung dari tanah liat dan dapat hidup dengan cara meniup tanah liat tadi. Keempat, Nabi Isa mampu menyembuhkan orang yang buta sejak lahir dan tak ada seorang pun yang mampu mengobatinya. Nabi Isa juga mampu menyembuhkan orang yang menderita sopak (belang-belang putih pada kulit) yang terkadang penanganannya harus diamputasi.

Kelima, Nabi Isa mampu menghidupkan orang-orang yang telah mati. Ada banyak kisah mengenai mukjizat ini.

Konon, pertama kali Nabi Isa menghidupkan orang yang telah mati adalah saat beliau melihat seorang wanita yang menangis di dekat makam anak perempuannya yang telah meninggal. Anak itu hanyalah anak satu-satunya dari ibu yang menangis tersebut. Sang ibu berjanji tidak akan meninggalkan makam anaknya kecuali hingga dia merasakan kematian atau Allah SWT menghidupkan anaknya kembali. Maka Nabi Isa mengerjakan shalat dua rakaat dan memanggil nama anak perempuan tersebut hingga tiga kali. Mayat anak tersebut bangkit dari kuburnya dan hidup kembali. Nabi Isa menanyakan penyebab beliau harus memanggil tiga kali. Si anak mengatakan bahwa saat panggilan pertama, malaikat menyusun jasadnya hingga utuh. Saat panggilan kedua, ruh ditiupkan kembali ke jasadnya. Saat panggilan ketiga, dia merasa takut bahwa hari kiamat telah tiba sehingga rambutnya beruban. Lalu si anak menjelaskan kepada ibunya bahwa ibunya harus bersabar karena si anak sudah tak memiliki urusan lagi di dunia ini. Si anak memohon kepada Nabi Isa agar berdoa kepada Allah SWT untuk dimatikan kembali. Maka si anak telah mati kembali. Berita tersebut telah sampai hingga telinga orang-orang Yahudi. Orang-orang yang ingkar semakin membenci Nabi Isa.

Konon, Nabi Isa juga pernah menghidupkan kembali Sam bin Nuh melalui shalat dua rakaat. Sam bin Nuh sempat bercerita tentang bahtera Nuh sebelum mati kembali. Beliau juga pernah menghidupkan kembali raja dari kalangan Bani Israil yang meninggal. Nabi Isa juga memiliki teman bernama Azir. Saat ibunya Azir bercerita bahwa Azir telah meninggal, Nabi Isa menghidupkan Azir kembali pada keesokan harinya.

Surat Al Maidah ayat 112-115:

إِذۡ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ هَلۡ يَسۡتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ  ١١٢ قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ  ١١٣ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلۡ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدٗا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةٗ مِّنكَۖ وَٱرۡزُقۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ  ١١٤ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بَعۡدُ مِنكُمۡ فَإِنِّيٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابٗا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ  ١١٥

112.  (Ingatlah), ketika pengikut-pengikut Isa berkata: "Hai Isa putera Maryam, sanggupkah Tuhanmu menurunkan hidangan dari langit kepada kami?". Isa menjawab: "Bertakwalah kepada Allah jika kamu betul-betul orang yang beriman".

113.  Mereka berkata: "Kami ingin memakan hidangan itu dan supaya tenteram hati kami dan supaya kami yakin bahwa kamu telah berkata benar kepada kami, dan kami menjadi orang-orang yang menyaksikan hidangan itu".

114.  Isa putera Maryam berdoa: "Ya Tuhan kami turunkanlah kiranya kepada kami suatu hidangan dari langit (yang hari turunnya) akan menjadi hari raya bagi kami yaitu orang-orang yang bersama kami dan yang datang sesudah kami, dan menjadi tanda bagi kekuasaan Engkau; beri rzekilah kami, dan Engkaulah pemberi rezeki Yang Paling Utama".

115.  Allah berfirman: "Sesungguhnya Aku akan menurunkan hidangan itu kepadamu, barangsiapa yang kafir di antaramu sesudah (turun hidangan itu), maka sesungguhnya Aku akan menyiksanya dengan siksaan yang tidak pernah Aku timpakan kepada seorangpun di antara umat manusia".

Keenam, Nabi Isa memohon kepada Allah SWT agar menurunkan hidangan dari langit kepada Al Hawariyyin.

Surat Ali Imran ayat 49:

وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّي قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِ‍َٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ أَنِّيٓ أَخۡلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيۡ‍َٔةِ ٱلطَّيۡرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ وَأُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأۡكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ  ٤٩

49.  Dan (sebagai) Rasul kepada Bani Israil (yang berkata kepada mereka): "Sesungguhnya aku telah datang kepadamu dengan membawa sesuatu tanda (mukjizat) dari Tuhanmu, yaitu aku membuat untuk kamu dari tanah berbentuk burung; kemudian aku meniupnya, maka ia menjadi seekor burung dengan seizin Allah; dan aku menyembuhkan orang yang buta sejak dari lahirnya dan orang yang berpenyakit sopak; dan aku menghidupkan orang mati dengan seizin Allah; dan aku kabarkan kepadamu apa yang kamu makan dan apa yang kamu simpan di rumahmu. Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu adalah suatu tanda (kebenaran kerasulanku) bagimu, jika kamu sungguh-sungguh beriman.

Ketujuh, Nabi Isa mampu melihat benda-benda yang tersembunyi dan hal-hal ghaib lainnya padahal beliau tak melihatnya secara langsung. Abu Hudzaifah, Ishaq bin Bisyr telah meriwayatkan dengan sanad-sanadnya sendiri dari Ka’b Al Ahbar, Wahb bin Munabbih, Ibnu Abbas dan Salman Al Farisiy. Hadits mereka saling melengkapi satu sama lain. Intinya, saat Nabi Isa berdakwah kepada Bani Israil, orang-orang munafik dan orang-orang kafir dari mereka mencoba menguju Nabi Isa, “Apa yang dimakan oleh si fulan tadi malam dan apa yang sedang ia simpan?” Lalu Nabi Isa memberitahukan kepada mereka dengan benar.

Mukjizat Nabi selaras dengan kondisi pada zamannya. Para ulama mengatakan, mukjizat Nabi Musa sesuai dengan kondisi masyarakat yang pada saat itu mengagumi sihir dan para ahli sihir. Maka Nabi Musa memiliki mukjizat seperti sihir yang sejatinya justru bertentangan dengan sihir dan bertujuan untuk melawan sihir.

Nabi Isa diutus pada masa munculnya para tabib dan ahli hikmah. Maka Allah SWT memberikan mukjizat-mukjizat yang tak dapat ditandingi. Tidak ada para tabib atau ahli hikmah yang mampu menyembuhkan orang buta sejak lahir, menghilangkan penyakit sopak, bahkan menghidupkan orang mati.

Di zaman Nabi Isa, masyarakat di tempat beliau juga bersikap materialitis dan mengingkari roh dan hari kebangkitan. Menurut mereka, manusia hanyalah tubuh tanpa roh. Mereka menganggap bahwa darah adalah “roh”-nya manusia. Oleh karena itu, mukjizat-mukjizat Nabi Isa berusaha untuk menunjukkan alam rohani. Nabi Isa terlahir tanpa seorang ayah dan rohnya ditiup langsung oleh sang Pencipta. Saat membuat burung dari tanah liat hingga dapat hidup, Nabi Isa meniupkan benda yang awalnya tidak memiliki sifat hidup tersbut. Sesuatu yang masuk ke dalam benda tersebut tidak berwujud fisik, tetapi adalah roh yang memiliki nilai yang hakiki. Beliau juga memiliki mukjizat untuk menghidupkan orang-orang yang telah mati. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya roh dan hari kebangkitan. Orang-orang yang mati yang jasadnya telah hancur di dalam bumi dapat hidup kembali dan bangkit dari kematiannya dengan izin Allah SWT.

THE STORY OF THE PROPHET JESUS - Al Hawariyyin, Helper of Prophet Jesus and Story of Al Maidah (Dish)

Prophet Jesus was one of the messengers of Ulul Azmi who was relentless in preaching to the Children of Israel (especially Jews) in order to return to the path of Allah SWT. But the Jews still did not believe in Prophet Jesus and instead continued to oppose it. Basically they remain rebellious to Allah SWT and always live materialistically. They continue to commit crimes against Prophet Jesus by spreading slander that Prophet Jesus was a person who did not believe. Even the Jewish hypocrites conspire to harm the Prophet Jesus.

Surah Ali Imran verses 50-51:

وَمُصَدِّقٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُم بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ وَجِئۡتُكُم بِ‍َٔايَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ  ٥٠ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ  ٥١

50.  And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.

51.  Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path."

Prophet Jesus was surprised at their actions. Then Prophet Jesus said that who can help him to uphold the religion of Allah. So Hawariyyin answered that they would do it.

Surah Ali Imran verses 52-53:

۞فَلَمَّآ أَحَسَّ عِيسَىٰ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ قَالَ مَنۡ أَنصَارِيٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحۡنُ أَنصَارُ ٱللَّهِ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَٱشۡهَدۡ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ  ٥٢ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا بِمَآ أَنزَلۡتَ وَٱتَّبَعۡنَا ٱلرَّسُولَ فَٱكۡتُبۡنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ  ٥٣

52.  But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah?" The disciples said, "We are supporters for Allah. We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].

53.  Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth]."

Al Hawariyyin is the loyal companions of Prophet Jesus who helped him in teaching the teachings of  Prophet Jesus. They have acknowledged the truth of the teachings of the Prophet Jesus and declared surrender to Allah SWT. Surrender is not just faith, but also obedient and devoting his thoughts sincerely only to Allah SWT.

Surah Al Maidah verse 111:

وَإِذۡ أَوۡحَيۡتُ إِلَى ٱلۡحَوَارِيِّ‍ۧنَ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشۡهَدۡ بِأَنَّنَا مُسۡلِمُونَ  ١١١

111.  And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah]."

Allah SWT has given revelation to Al Hawariyyin for their good and happiness. That way, Al Hawariyyin can try according to their noble desires from the deepest heart that is full of kindness.

Prophet Jesus showed miracles to Al Hawariyyin as proof of the power of Allah SWT.

Surah Al Maidah verses 112-115:

إِذۡ قَالَ ٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ هَلۡ يَسۡتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۖ قَالَ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ  ١١٢ قَالُواْ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأۡكُلَ مِنۡهَا وَتَطۡمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ صَدَقۡتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ  ١١٣ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلۡ عَلَيۡنَا مَآئِدَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدٗا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةٗ مِّنكَۖ وَٱرۡزُقۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ  ١١٤ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ فَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بَعۡدُ مِنكُمۡ فَإِنِّيٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابٗا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ  ١١٥

112.  [And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah, if you should be believers."

113.  They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses."

114.  Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."

115.  Allah said, "Indeed, I will send it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds."

Based on the book Kisah Para Nabi dan Rasul (Indonesian language) by Ibn Kathir, the core of the story is that Prophet Jesus ordered Al Hawariyyin to fast for thirty days. After finishing fasting, Al Hawariyyin asked Prophet esusJ to pray to Allah SWT to bring down dishes from the sky for them to eat and to reassure them because Allah SWT had received their fast. Prophet Jesus obeyed their request. The dish is a form of feast day for them. On that day they break the fast.

At first the Prophet Jesus advised them and he was worried if they were not grateful and unable to carry out the conditions. But Al Hawariyyin continued to insist that  Prophet Jesus wanted to pray to Allah SWT. By humbling themselves, Prophet Jesus prayed and begged that their prayers be granted. So Allah SWT decreases the dish from the sky. Some say that the dish is seven bread and seven sea fish, some say vinegar, and some say pomegranate and other fruits.Then Prophet Jesus ordered them to eat it. They said, "We will not eat before you eat." Prophet Jesus said, "You are the one who asked for the dish." They still did not want to eat first. So Prophet Jesus ordered the needy and those who had chronic diseases to eat it. Their number is around 1,300 people. The diseased ones recover. It was said that the meal dropped once a day and filled everyone, and it was said to have reached 6,000 people. Then the dish a day goes down a day no. Only poor people can eat it, rich people may not eat it. This is hard for hypocrites. That said, hypocrites turned into pigs. Wallahu A'lam.

Abdur Razzaq said: Muammar told us, from someone from Ikrimah, he said: Isa (Jesus) said: "Do not throw jewels at pigs. Because pigs cannot use these jewels at all. Don't give wisdom to people who don't want it. Because, wisdom is better than jewels. Whereas people who don't want goodness are worse than pigs. "

Wahb and others mentioned that Prophet Jesus said to his companions: "You are like the salt of the earth. If you are broken then there is no cure for you. In you there are two forms of ignorance: Laugh without feeling amazed and sleep in the morning not because of staying up late not because of worship. "

There is an expression from Prophet Jesus, namely "you are like salt of earth". Salt is something that gives a better taste to food. Without salt, food feels tasteless and people don't like it. They are believers. Without believers, this life feels meaningless. Without the people who believe in Allah SWT and like to do good, life will be very empty and meaningless. Allah SWT has created humans as caliphs on earth so that they only worship Allah SWT and do good on this earth. If humans continue to commit evil without ever feeling affection, then their lives will be in vain like vegetables without salt.
