MAQUETTE BETTERPAD-RAY (BENTENG TERPADU RAYA/ GREAT INTEGRATED FORTRESS) - Architecture of Javanese, Arabic, European Culture

The Betterpad-Ray (Great Integrated Fortress) model/maquette/mockup is a model for complex examples of office buildings, museums, cultural and scientific centers, and so on. This mockup is designed based on Javanese, Arabic and European architecture.

Pendapa (paviliun) is a building located in front of the main building that serves to receive guests, a gathering place, consultations, hold events, and other public events. This building usually does not have a wall around it. In this model, the pendapa has a projection size of around 3500 metre squre. The joglo roof of the building is supported by more 30 large poles. This roof consists of three levels. At the front of the pendapa there is a terrace where the vehicle stops to bring down the occupants. This Pendapa has two floors, first the main floor below and the second floor above in the form of a hallway. To arrive at the second floor, there are two stairs on each side of the pendapa. The second floor is shaped like the letter U around the pendapa except the back. At the back of the pendapa there is a dividing wall right in the middle that covers more than 20 meters of the back side. This section can function as a screen or event decoration.

This mosque is called a shahadat mosque, a place of worship for Muslims. This building has a Javanese architectural roof that has three levels with pyramid-shaped tops. The doors and windows have an arch above them in the style of Arabic architecture. The main room of the mosque is square with size (projected) around 1000 metre square. Then there is the porch that has a size (projected) of  around a half of main room. This mosque has two floors. The first floor below is the main prayer place and the second floor is also a prayer place. To reach the second floor, there are two stairs on each of the left and right sides of the foyer that are connected to the upper foyer floor. The prayer place is divided into two, the right side for men and the left side for women. Each side of the mosque has a place for ablution and several bathrooms, there are the right side for men and the left side for women.

The reason this mosque is called shahadat is because there is a tower which at its peak is written lafadz Allah and Muhammad. This tower serves as a place for loudspeakers and also as a place of observation. The tower is 49 meters high and has a pentagon side shape. The 49 number is the meaning of the serial number of the Surah Al Hujurat in the Qur'an which means "rooms". It means that Allah SWT created people with tribes and nations to get to know each other. This mosque accepts Muslims from all over the world. Whereas pentagon can mean five pillars of Islam (shahadat, prayer, zakat (almsgiving), fasting and hajj (pilgrimage)) and also means the number of prayers is required in a day. At the top of the tower there are 5 large clocks on each side. This clock can be seen from 5 corners which mainly serves to show prayer times. The tower has 7 floors with the top floor (above the digital clock) as a place of observation. Number 7 has a lot of meaning. Surat Al-Fatihah as ummul of the Quran has 7 verses. At the time of Isra 'Miraj, the Prophet Muhammad pass through the seventh heaven to receive the revelation of prayer from Allah SWT. So, the lafadz of Allah and Muhammad above the seventh floor also means that the Prophet Muhammad received revelations from Allah SWT ahter pass through the seventh heaven, namely Sidratul Muntaha.

This building is the complex's main building . This building has three floors. Boxed with an inner field. This building has a lot of space to reach around more than 100 rooms.
