I designed the Shahada Mosque
(Masjid Syahadat) which is part of the Betterpad-Ray (Benteng Terpadu Raya / Great
Integrated Fortress) model/maquette/mockup so that it can be used to store historical objects.
These objects are priceless heritage objects. I intend to be able to take good
care of it and store it safely. These objects are stored not for the purpose of
shirk (polytheism), but to be able to show historical objects that are
inherited from the previous generation to be shown today and as a lesson for
the current generation. I designed several rooms at the Shahada mosque from
Betterpad-Ray (mockup) to store historical objects, most likely in the Shahada
tower or certain parts of the main building of the mosque with close
supervision.
I feel happy if I am able to care
for and maintain historical objects (especially Islam) in the Indonesia
archipelago. The problem is whether there are historical objects that can later
be stored in the Shahada mosque? Or how do you get these historical objects? But clearly, the Shahada Mosque is
ready to accept and care for historical objects in earnest and responsible
workers. Common Islamic historical objects are in the form of the Qur'an
(including the giant Qur'an), relics of Islamic figures, ornaments or certain
parts of a building, and others.
If there are those who intend to
surrender or entrust the storage of historic objects, then need to be careful
first as I read in books. The objects must be known for authenticity or not,
because it would be in vain if the objects submitted were found to be fake.
Evidence of authenticity must be sought from various trusted sources, both oral
and written. The purpose of submitting objects must also be known so that the
storage of historical objects can be in accordance with the intention of the
giver and be more responsible.
In general, fiction stories in the
book explain that sometimes there are stolen goods, smuggling, or obtained
illegally. The Shahada Mosque (Masjid Syahadat) in Betterpad-Ray did not want
to be held responsible if the items turned out to be problematic. So this also
needs to be investigated and examined so that the storage of historic objects
can run smoothly. In an agreement, there must be evidence of a written
agreement that must be signed by both parties in order to strengthen the
agreement.
In storing historical objects, there
are those that are deliberately shown to visitors, some are only displayed at
certain times, and some are indeed must be guarded and kept secret, as in
fictional stories. Basically, the storage referred to in this case is a museum.
If these objects will be displayed, it must be placed in a place that visitors
can see without disturbing the worship of other visitors. The object must be
properly guarded and monitored, cleanliness is always maintained, given
information boards about objects, placed on good media, and the existence of
certain rules that visitors must obey so that historical objects can be
maintained properly. Supervision in today's world can use cameras that are
arranged in such a way that they can be hidden. Items displayed at certain
times, for example on anniversaries in Islam, such as the Mawlid Prophet,
Muharram One Date, and so on. Basically, the purpose of the appearance of
objects on a particular day is so that Muslims really know the anniversary of
Islam and its traditions and so that stored objects are not easily exposed to
the risk of damage. In addition to the Shahada Mosque, the Betterpad-Ray main
building can indeed be used as a major museum if the use of complex buildings
is indeed used for educational and socio-cultural purposes.
This is the article from me.
Hopefully the design of the Shahada Mosque (Masjid Syahadat), which is part of
the Betterpad-Ray (Benteng Terpadu Raya / Great Integrated Fortress) model/maquette, can
inspire and be realized. Aamiin.
